TROPICANA COOKIES — THE BRIEF

Tropicana Cookies needed pouch art that hits like a tropical billboard — hand-lettered logotype stacked across the face, citrus and palm-tree illustration framing the strain bud, and a banner tagline that reads from across the dispensary floor. The brief asked for full-bleed colour on a black ground, every regulator-required mark (21+, CA triangle, net weight, premium cannabis flower) integrated into the artwork rather than tacked on, and ink coverage that survives heat-seal without dulling.

how we did it

THE STORY.

The challenge with vibrant illustrative cannabis art is keeping it from sliding into novelty. We treated this like a vintage citrus crate label crossed with a streetwear graphic — custom hand-lettering for 'Tropicana' and 'Cookies' (no font you can buy), a single hero composition built around the bud, and a colour palette tuned so the orange and yellow ring true against the matte black without bleeding under store lighting. Compliance copy was set into a banner so it became part of the design, not a sticker on top of it.
